Most notably, its larger size, larger, more ornate mask festooned with pearls, and what appear to be glowing red eyes...
We’ve been on Exoplanet RW 1397333 b (known affectionately among the team as “Rain World”) for several weeks now, and we’ve seen some truly incredible things so far (please refer to earlier log entries for details, it would take far too long to list out everything here) but we hadn’t encountered anything we would classify as “frightening.” Until now. The being we came across bore a resemblance to the previously discovered creatures dubbed “scavengers”, though notable differences were apparent.
Most notably, its larger size, larger, more ornate mask festooned with pearls, and what appear to be glowing red eyes. Even if its appearance had been the same, however, its markedly increased levels of aggression would have made it distinct from its smaller counterparts. Thankfully, none of our party was the target of this increased aggression, but we did bear witness to the beginning of a fight between this “scavenger chieftain” and one of the surprisingly intelligent mustelid-like creatures the team has been affectionately referring to as “slugcats.”
We briefly discussed staying to watch the conflict in full, but when the slugcat started hurling what can only be described as cobbled-together grenades, we felt discretion was the better part of valor and beat a rather hasty retreat. It remains to be seen if we shall encounter this creature or others like it again in our time here, and while anyone could be excused for hoping we wouldn’t, I can’t help but hope that some sort of communication may yet be possible.

Named him Hank. He's actually the second plushie I got, and I will say, I'm extremely satisfied. For anyone worried about the pearls coming off, don't worry! They're very secure on his antlers. 11/10, I have no money now but it was definitely worth it.
